We all know that sun exposure is a major cause of skin damage and skin ageing.

Glycation is the natural process triggered by sugars. When there’s too much sugar, the process causes advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) to form. These make make collagen and elastin fibres rigid over time resulting in fine lines and wrinkles. AGE's act with other receptors in the skin which can resulting in inflammation, dryness and itching.
Modifying a diet high in refined sugars (including alcohol) is the best way to reduce this process from the inside.
