Our Natural Sunscreen has Zinc as the main active ingredient.
Developing a sunscreen with broad-spectrum sun protection using Zinc and natural botanicals is a very complicated process. The cream needs to be stable, provide an SPF 50 reflective film, and be naturally preserved. This is easy to achieve with non naturally occuring substances that harm the planet and harm our skin and a very difficult process using this natural element.
We use Zinc because it is natural, skin-safe, marine and reef safe! This makes our product, a bit thicker than the non-natural alternatives.
We are soo OK with this when compared to our skin health, general health, carcinogenicity and the health of our marine and natural environments vs other ápproved' UVA/UVB ingredients.
Our sunscreen provides a natural umbrella for exposed skin that is suitable for all ages, from babies to adults, and all skin types including acne prone and the most sensitive of skin.
We of course recommend you cover up when you can, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and follow the Cancer Council guidelines.
